    Ben graduated as a Physiotherapist in 2000 and has spent the last 12 years working in Australian high-performance sport. Ben has a diverse experience of employment across the high-performance sport system including 10 years working at the AIS and with Athletics Australia and more recently also within professional sport. Ben has experience in leading strategy and change within high-performance health systems both within National and State Sports instituts (AIS & WAIS), National Sports Organisations (Athletics Australia) and currently within Professional Football (AFL, Fremantle Dockers FC).

    Ben is currently working as Head of Medical at FFC and as lead Performance Physiotherapist at WAIS with athletics. Ben has travelled to 4 Athletics World Championships, 2 Commonwealth Games and 2 Olympic Games with the Athletics team. Ben is currently undertaking a PhD looking at Health system factors that influence Performance Outcomes in athletics. Ben’s passions lie in understanding how to best combine the areas of health and performance within high-performance sport and how health systems best provides information for effective planning and decision making.
