Julie Wunungmurra is a Yolngu woman from Galiwin’ku, Elcho Island. Julie is an Aboriginal Community Health Worker and Djambarrpuyngu interpreter. She is a strong woman, proud mother and fierce advocate for her family and community. In her role as Senior Yolngu Cultural Advisor for the MJD Foundation, Julie provides strategic leadership regarding the delivery of culturally responsive therapy, primary health and community services; mentoring for Yolngu Aboriginal Community Workers; and, cultural guidance and education for MJD Foundation staff.
