Leanne Johnston

    Leanne Johnston is an Associate Professor in Physiotherapy at The University of Queensland and founding lead of the Children’s Motor Control Research Collaboration. She is a Board member for the Queensland Children’s Research Alliance, Advisory Board member for DCD Australia and the Queensland Cerebral Palsy Register, and Editorial Board member for the Journal of Physiotherapy.

    Leanne’s research focusses on developing assessment tools and intervention strategies that improve the participation and quality of life for children and adults with movement disorders. Her research has grown from extensive clinical experience across health, community and private settings.

    Leanne is currently gaining more experience in interprofessional service delivery in a secondment to the Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service as the Executive Director of Allied Health.
