Lisa Harvey

    Professor Lisa Harvey (PhD) has 20 years clinical experience in spinal cord injuries. She currently holds an academic position at Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney where she teaches, runs her own research program and supervises PhD students. She has over 200 publications which include clinical trials and systematic reviews. Most of her research has focused on putting an evidence base to widely administered physiotherapy interventions.

    Lisa and a colleague have led the development of Australian and New Zealand Physiotherapy Guidelines for the Management of People with Spinal Cord Injuries. She is currently principal investigator on a large multi-centered clinical trial: the SCI-MT Trial. It has 15 sites across Australia and Europe. She setup and continues to manage www.physiotherapyexercises.com; free online software to prescribe exercises. She teaches widely both nationally and internationally, and is recent past Editor-in-Chief of Spinal Cord.
