    Melanie Haley is an APA titled Gerontological Physiotherapist with over twenty years of experience working in the public health sector in Melbourne. Melanie completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours and Masters of Gerontology at La Trobe University. She has experience working across the continuum of care and is currently a Clinical Lead Grade 4 physiotherapist in Aged and Complex Care for Eastern Health in Melbourne.

    Melanie is also a standing member of the Care of Older Persons’s Network for Safer Care Victoria and works for the Australian Physiotherapy Council, the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Monash University on a casual basis. She has previous experience working at the National Ageing Research Institute, Melbourne Health and Alfred Health. Melanie has first and second author publications, including related to frailty and delirium. Falls prevention has been an ongoing professional interest and she has represented on falls prevention committees at three health networks, including chairing the Falls Working Group at Eastern Health.
