Moira Smith

    Dr Moira Smith is a researcher, clinician and lecturer in the field of neurological rehabilitation. With over 20 years’ clinical experience, Moira has worked as a senior physiotherapist in the UK and Australia. Since 2013, she has combined her clinical experience with teaching and research and leads the neurological rehabilitation curriculum of the undergraduate physiotherapy and postgraduate rehabilitation courses at James Cook University. Moira recently completed her PhD in 2022 and her key research interests are grounded in neurorehabilitation. Through her PhD, she explored mechanisms to enable participation in exercise and sport for individuals with multiple sclerosis.
