Peter is a Specialist Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapist and leads the Physiotherapy Intensive Care and General Surgery team as a Consultant Physiotherapist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and is committed to providing clinical leadership, education and research in the fields of intensive care, trauma and surgery.

Peter is passionate about ensuring there is an appropriately skilled workforce to meet the current and future health service needs and to provide client centred physiotherapy services. He has led the development of position statements for physiotherapy workforce requirements for intensive care staffing and advanced practice roles and developed international clinical guidelines to guide physiotherapy practice.
