    Trevor Russell is a Professor of Physiotherapy and the Director of the RECOVER Injury Research Centre at the University of Queensland where he leads a stream of research on Technology Enabled Rehabilitation. His research focuses on the use of digital technologies for the remote delivery of health services with a particular focus on telerehabilitation technologies. As a pioneer in this field of research, he seeks to understand how technology can be used to provide better access to care; to establish the validity of technology approaches to assessment and management; to further the evidence base through controlled clinical trials; to investigate implementation and cost-benefit factors related to technology enabled services; and to develop best practice guidelines for the implementation of technology into practice. His work is amongst the earliest and most extensive in this field.
